What did eye surgeon say?
On Monday i.e. yesterday, 90 cases of eye infection have been reported in the Civil Hospital of Ahmedabad. Regarding ‘viral conjunctivitis’, eye surgeon said that if we talk about the symptoms of this condition, then it is very important to take precautions to avoid redness of the eyes, watery eyes and itching.
Do not shake hands with each other, do not roam in the crowd, he further said that take medicine only after showing it to the doctor. Explaining further, it is said that this problem automatically reduces within five to seven days.
Personal hygiene is the most important thing to prevent viral conjunctivitis. In which to keep your hands and mouth clean, wash your hands and mouth with soap from time to time. Special attention should be given to cleanliness especially in crowded places like hotels, hostels, gatherings, theatres, ST stands, railway stations, malls etc. Public places etc. and if possible avoid visiting such places.
If there is redness, pain or swelling in the eyes, visit the nearest ophthalmologist for treatment. Do not take eye drops from the medical store without doctor’s advice. It is necessary to wash hands with soap before and after applying the drops as prescribed by the doctor.
